Simple. Cassie's been to Paris. For 2 months in 2006. See doginparis.blogspot.com.
Or, if you want, she's spent a month in Portland. See californiadoginportland.blogspot.com
But, most importantly (and sadly), she has reservations on an Iberia Airlines flight this August from LAX to Madrid to Paris. That we're going to need to cancel. Because she's no longer healthy enough to travel that sort of distance, and be away from veterinary care that we're comfortable with. And that makes both Maxine & me sad. We've planned this trip back to Paris, with our dog, for years now. We'll likely cancel the trip and try to take it another year, with another dog. But, we'll be thinking of Cassie and how much fun it was in 2006 to feel like we lived in Paris, because we had our dog with us. People mistook us for locals. Not Parisians, but Americans who lived there. And, I liked to tell people that 90% of the non-commercial conversations that we had with Parisians involved Cassie. Bringing her made it feel a lot more like home and less like a vacation/touristic trip...
