Yet another example of bad dog parenting

One current day impact of Cassie's drugs is that she's hungry and thirsty a LOT more than she ever was before. A lot more. No, really, a LOT more.

We've been trying to accomodate her, giving her more food, but trying to be responsible and regulate it to some degree.

Often in the afternoon she comes begging (and I do mean begging) for a snack. We check her food bowl and discover that she still has some kibbles left from the morning. These are the kibbles left over after she's licked (!) the canned dog food off of them (Maxine is trying very hard to give Cassie a balanced diet).

Tonight around snack time, I heard Cassie rattling her (9 kibbles inside) food bowl around. Had an insight. The kibbles were stuck to the bottom of the bowl by the canned food residue. I freed the kibbles and Cassie at them in a minute.

So, for a month now of being what we thought were responsible parents, "Eat what's on your plate", I discover that she would have been delighted to, is she could have just pried the food out of the bowl...
