Diagnosis

Saturday, Maxine took Cassie home from the hospital. Three inches of her leg had been shaved for the IV, and she seemed very subdued, but otherwise there were no evident changes in her. Nothing that suggested any further problems.

Neither of us had no knowledge of what seizures meant, so both Maxine & I did a bunch of reading.

On Tues, March 1st, we took her in to see her vet, Dr. Hoffman. Additional blood tests were inconclusive and we (now knowing what seizures might mean), asked what was next. Answer, a neurologist. Yes, there's a veterinary speciality in neurology with a 'board certification'. And luckily, since we live in LA, the nearest neurologist was 5 miles away. And she had an MRI.

Wednesday was the consult with the neurologist. By then, we knew that the implications of seizures ranged from bad to worse...

Thursday morning I brought Cassie in for an MRI.
